| Please join us for any part of our practice, taking your seat 5 to 10 minutes prior to the schedules starting time. In addition to zazen (sitting meditation) and kinhin (walking meditation), we participate in services (bowing and chanting), soji (temple cleaning), dharma talks and having informal tea together. First-time visitors are welcome, and zazen instruction is offered on Sunday mornings. There is no charge for participation in weekly practice events, although donations in support of the teachings and community are gratefully received. Please note that our weekly schedule changes during sesshins and retreats: The day before and two days after a sesshin or retreat are days off, and no regular activities are held. On the day a sesshin or retreat is to start, there is no morning zazen, but temple cleaning does take place at 9 am. On Sundays during a sesshin or retreat there is no lecture or regular public activity. Those not participating fully in the sesshin or retreat are still welcome to attend periods of zazen and lectures, if any. Please see the daily schedules for times. |
