APRIL 4, 2020

7:30 AM - 6 PM

with Hosshin Shoaf
Limited to 22 participants

There are still spaces remaining.
Join us for one day of practice in the style of our sesshin, a retreat devoted simply to sitting zazen.  We will be sitting in honor of Buddha's Birthday, and participants are welcome to stay over and participate in the sangha's annual celebration the next morning.

The schedule will be that of a typical sesshin, but the day itself will be shorter than the usual 4 am - 9 pm.  Whether you're just establishing your practice and are looking for the opportunity to try some intensive sitting or you're an experienced practitioner with limited time, this one-day sitting is a chance to set aside all other home and temple activities and just engage in zazen.

A simple vegetarian lunch will be provided as part of the event; for dinner, we'll visit a local restaurant to talk about our experience, get questions answered and wrap up our day.  (We typically gather for this kind of discussion before lunch on the last day of sesshin.)

The cost of registration is $65 and includes both lunch and dinner.

Participants are welcome to stay overnight in the dorm or zendo and participate in the regular zazen and dharma talk that happens on Sunday mornings.

Accommodations
If you would like to arrive the night before and/or stay until the next morning, you may choose to sleep in the zendo, in our dorm, in your own tent on our grounds or somewhere offsite for which you've made arrangements.   There is no charge for sleeping on the zendo floor with your own bedding or in your tent while you're attending a Sanshin practice event.  No need to add anything to your shopping cart; just indicate on your registration form that that's your plan.  If you prefer a dorm space, please reserve below.

Accommodations are not included in the event fee and must be reserved separately.  Signing up for an event does not guarantee you a bed.  Dorm space is not held until paid for.

Please be sure to indicate in your shopping cart the number of nights for which you are reserving a bed; the default is one.
