A sesshin is a retreat devoted simply to sitting zazen Sanshin holds multiple sesshin throughout the year; they're central to the practice handed down through our lineage. If you're ready to join with the community in sitting more intensively, this one day introduction will give you the confidence to begin.
Hoko will explain the basics of sesshin as it's done at Sanshin, including the context for our particular style, the forms and procedures we follow, and tips for preparing for your first sesshin. After lunch we'll engage in a mini-sesshin, then take care of any remaining questions.
The cost of registration is $45 and includes a simple vegetarian lunch; within 2 weeks of the event the cost is $52. Registration will not be accepted within one week of the event.
