Sanshin's Women's Retreat is designed to appeal to both beginners in Zen practice and those with some experience. Led by Vice Abbot Hoko Karnegis, the retreat includes instruction in sitting (zazen) and walking (kinhin) practice if needed, periods of zazen and kinhin, brief dharma talks, Q&A and discussion, vegetarian meals, and yoga designed to support zazen practice. It provides a variety of resources that participants can take in and use in establishing and maintaining their practice.
The retreat will begin with an informal 6 pm dinner on Friday and end with sangha teatime on Sunday late morning. A complete schedule is forthcoming.
The cost of registration is $90; within 2 weeks of the event the cost is $103. Registration will not be accepted within one week of the event.
