On Sunday October 2nd, Sanshinji held the second of its biannually scheduled work days. It was an opportunity to give the grounds and buildings needed maintenance while the weather is good. I am always surprised by the amount of work that gets done and how great things look at the end of the day.
On this work day the projects included mowing, weeding, mulching, flowers and ornamentals care and pruning, trash removal, dead tree and branch clean up, continuing bamboo fence improvement, driveway delineation and clean up, installing a downspout discharge channel, and various small fix-its.
We had a great turn out so I will take this opportunity to say thanks to all who put hands to tasks with amiable companionship and ready willingness. In particular I would like to give Sarah Sherry a hearty thank you for the delicious lunch and break time victuals.
